Todd Chrisley & Julie Chrisley Found Guilty Of Bank Fraud & Tax Evasion

TMZ reports that the verdict is in for Todd and Julie Chrisley, and it’s not a good one. They were found guilty of bank fraud and tax evasion. Those two charges were included in a “laundry list” of other offenses.

Todd and Julie were found guilty on a laundry list of charges, according to a court clerk for the northern district of Georgia. We’re told their accountant, Peter Tarantino, was also found guilty on related charges, including aiding and abetting the filing of false tax returns.

The two are free on bond and sentencing has not been scheduled. Todd Chrisley’s attorney, Bruce Morris, told the outlet that, “We are disappointed in the verdict. We plan an appeal.” It seems that their legal woes and battles are far from over.

They were indicted back in 2019 as prosecutors claimed that they defrauded banks by obtaining millions of dollars in loans. The U.S. Attorney’s Office also claimed that they cheated the government by evading federal income taxes as well.

The indictment specified that Todd Chrisley had his business partner make it show that $4 million was in his account when it wasn’t in this scheme. Feds also obtained an email from Todd to his business partner that proclaims, “You are a f*cking genius!!!! Just make it show 4 mil+.” We have to wonder if he feels the same way now.

The Chrisley’s are heading to prison
