ANDERSON SC - A 36-year-old man was sentenced to a total 25 years in prison in General Sessions Court Monday after pleading quilty to 12 charges of housebreaking and larceny. Resident Judge E. Harry Agnew sentenced Gene Chrisley to 15 years on several cases and 10 years on the others. The sentences are to run consecutively. Chrisley has similar cases pending in Oconee, Pickens, Spartanburg, Greenville counties. Ballenger indicated he would bring the indictments in Oconee County to Anderson Tuesday, so that they could be heard now instead of waiting until Judge Agnew presides in Oconee County Court in 3 weeks.
Escaped convict, Gene Raymond Chrisley, 22, of Westminster was picked up by Elbert county officers about an hour after he had wrecked a 1954 Oldsmobile between Hartwell and Elberton according to Oconee County Sheriff D.H. Crenshaw.
